The VI Children's Museum started distributing At Home Discovery Kits for families throughout the territory while we were shut down during the pandemic. These kits were created to facilitate children’s exploration of science, technology, reading, engineering, arts and humanities, math (STREAM) based concepts through active engagement and play. The VICM and our partners aim to help kids Explore, Play, Discover even while at home. 

 

Five discovery kits have been produced and distributed to date through community partners such as the Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Thomas/St. John Inc., Catholic Charities of the Virgin Islands St. Thomas/St. John/St. Croix, Department of Health MCH Clinics, Head Start and Human Services St. Thomas/St. Croix, and the Salvation Army.
